The Validation Institute reconfirms that Cleo drives results in employee wellness, productivity, and cost savings

The Validation Institute has reverified Cleo’s Family Health Index™, validating our ability to both measure caregiver health and deliver interventions that improve your bottom line.

We’re thrilled to announce that The Validation Institute, an independent and objective third-party organization providing data-driven insights on health care solution providers, has revalidated our proprietary Family Health Index™ as an accurate measurement tool of caregiver health and wellbeing.

First validated in 2024, we’ve achieved revalidation by continuing to prove our impact—demonstrating that when you support the mental health and emotional wellness of working parents, workplace productivity naturally follows.

Our impact has scaled tremendously alongside this recognition; while our initial validation report only looked at data from 8,000 members who had taken the Family Health Index™ (FHI), our validated dataset now spans 20k+ members who have taken the FHI and received support from Cleo.

What does this revalidation mean? It proves that Cleo doesn’t just talk about supporting working parents and caregivers—we deliver. In its updated report, the Validation Institute reconfirmed:

  • Cleo’s Family Health Index™ accurately measures key dimensions of participants’ health and assesses their need for support for parenting and caregiving.
  • The Family Health Index directly reflects and correlates to a participant’s work productivity; individuals with higher FHI scores average higher productivity and less time lost from work, allowing Cleo to precisely identify and support low-scoring members who face the highest risk of lost work hours due to caregiving.
  • Engagement with Cleo improves higher risk members‘ overall Family Health Index scores and Emotional Wellness (PHQ-4) scores.
  • Cleo’s cost saving analysis offers an evidence-based estimate of Cleo’s emotional wellness support impact on medical costs.

This is all to say that prospects and customers alike can trust that Cleo will accurately measure which employees are at risk for poor mental health, burnout, and productivity loss, and therefore will be able to more accurately target these employees for evidence-based interventions in order to improve their emotional wellness, overall family health, and medical cost savings.

Validation Institute offers customers of validated solution providers (like Cleo) a guarantee of up to $100,000 that a validated solution provider will, in fact, achieve what the validation language on a marketing claim says it will achieve. Validation Institute has been successfully producing validations for 10 years without challenge or appeal and will continue to do so with a guarantee in place for its customers.
